As this is the "About" page, we figured this place was the best place to let you know, we are about you. As a creative agency, our focus is our clients and creating quality content to bring them more customers, or for non-profits, more supporters. It takes marketing to grow and quality content to build effective marketing. We don't claim to be the best, the cheapest, or whatever other superlative. We're just here to help you get where you need to go.

Like any stereotypical creative, I am a crazy coffee fanatic. But unlike lots of creatives, I am a coffee snob to the point that I roast my own coffee and (thanks to work with my brother and his coffee roasting company) have a certificate as an "Intermediate Specialty Coffee Roaster" from Mill City Roasters.
I have a passion for traveling, living abroad, photography, learning languages, landscaping, gardening, hiking, craft beer and, yes, coffee. I was born in the Netherlands, speak three languages, studied abroad in Israel for a year, hold a Bachelor of Arts in English from Western Carolina University and minored in Photography.
I started Ciskus Creative after working five years in marketing as the communications/marketing specialist for an Oklahoma City-based office technology company and more than a decade as a career journalist — reporting for several newspapers in North Carolina and Oklahoma and later as a multimedia journalist for KJRH Channel 2 in Tulsa.
Occasionally for fun I foray into the world of journalism and write articles for Edmond Business, a local online business magazine.
